About

The Northeast Systems and Control Workshop (NECSW) aims to provide a forum for systems and control researchers in the Northeast to present their work, and interact with local graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty in an informal and collaborative setting. To promote interaction and community building NESCW will be hosted by a different institution in the Northeast region every year. Any member of the systems and control community in the Northeast region (broadly interpreted) is welcome to participate.

Contributed talks and posters

There will be four oral sessions, each lasting one hour and composed of 4x15min talks, for a total of 16 talks. Institutions that have hosted, or that sign on as host institutions for future workshops are guaranteed at least one speaking slot for a graduate student or postdoc—the remaining speaking slots will be allocated by the host institution so as to ensure equal representation of participating institutions.  As such, it’s recommended that institutions nominate speakers who haven’t given a NESCW talk before.  There will be no limits on posters beyond venue capacity constraints. All talks and poster presentations are by students and postdoctoral scholars, with the goal of providing visibility to young researchers.
